Sorry I didn't do them indivually in terms of giving thanks (which is something I try to do on furAffinity), but I really appreciate all the new followers in the past few months. I finally had to clear out my massive backlog of favorites, and needless to say, I'm quite impressed with the rise of popularity of my works. Even with me not being around often.
Where to post comics and stuff?
So, I had meant to finally upload a new comic after a two year delay, except... Gumroad decided to stop with NSFW content. So, why did they do that? Economics, of course. For many websites, the utilization of adult material poses a possible problem for financial partners for said websites as well as banking agencies that handle transactions of money as the internet is scrutinized more by conservative politicians who, while some of them have the right ideas (protecting younger people from seeing inappropriate content), approach it absolutely incorrectly (going scorched earth) but don't particularly care about the ramifications about their decision making because they have to appeal to a voting base that keeps going further and further to the far-right. I mean, Indiana signed a law this year requiring identification to sign in to adult websites, which just means so much personal info is going to Russian and Chinese farming groups to be sold around the world. For a lot of NSFW
So, about deviantART's policy on sexual themes...
For starters, it would help if you actually could read the material. What is DeviantArt's policy around sexual themes? - DeviantArt Help Center (deviantartsupport.com) Basically, it goes like this: *Artistic nudity is okay *Sexualized imagery is okay, with light fetish content being allowed *Explicit artwork is only allowed for subscribers *Pornography is not allowed To be honest, I've always been a bit more conservative about artwork despite my political stances leaning more and more leftist over the years, and that's largely because I just find the idea of depicting underage characters in erotic or even explicit situations gross. I am also aware that deviantART does find the argument of "aging up" characters to a legal age to be nonsense, even if you actually do depict them physically older, which is a gray area. After all, they said it as such: "DeviantArt disregards attempts or claims that fictional child characters have been “age lifted” in order to comply with our
Commission Availability (And yes, I'm doing them!)
Hey. I thought I'd put up a tab to show who's getting commissions right now. deviantART: SuitloverJES (in progress) 2. :iconSonicHacki: (in progress) 3. :iconSapphire1X7: (in progress) 4 5. FurAffinity 1. 2. Other 1. 2. That way, y'all can keep track.
If I were to offer commission rates for once...
Would y'all be interested? I've been rather nebulous over the years with commission fees but I feel like finally settling down and laying the ground rules with how much I want to charge. And I'll be fair and affordable given my work schedule and real life errand challenges. I'm trying to save up in my savings account to ensure that I have a nest egg for emergencies and even if I make $50 a month in commissions would be nice. I get a nice bit of traffic annually so I'm hoping this translates to interest. I should post my art fees tonight but a general rule is I start at $10.
